We recently learned that a crucial section of Edgewater’s Sheridan Corridor Multimodal Plan, between W 17th and W 26th avenues in Northwest Denver, has been degraded to prioritize traffic flow and remove safer access by wheelchair, bicycle and scooter. The last-minute changes to a finalized “multimodal” plan presented in 2022 to community members. Learn more: https://envisionedgewaterco.com/sheridan-plan

So I started riding to work again, and I've already left more unreported bike lane obstructions than I've sent ones in. Relying on bicyclists to self report problems instead of just building safe infrastructure is designed to encourage non-compliance and under-reporting. Help Keep Denver Bike Fest Rolling in 2026!

Denver Bike Fest celebrates community, connection, and the joy of getting around on two wheels. The festival brings together local groups, nonprofits, government agencies, and businesses to inspire more people to get on a bike. Plus live music, food trucks, and beer, all sourced locally! I'm Emily Kleinfelter, aka Bike This City, and the organizer behind Denver Bike Fest. We're gearing up for Denver Bike Fest 2026 and doing it a little differently.

Or on state land? Do you know who the original stewards of the land were? What tribes? Remember when our federal lands were at risk last year? They still are, by the way. Do you ever ponder how you're allowed to ride…
