Wenn Bi+ Themen in Politik, Forschung und Community kaum vorkommen oder gefördert werden, ist das kein Zufall. Es ist das Ergebnis von Strukturen, die Bi+ Lebensrealitäten ausblenden.

Bi+ Unsichtbarkeit ist kein individuelles Problem, sondern ein strukturelles:
in der Geschichte, Wissenschaft, Politik, Medien und Gesellschaft werden Bi+ Perspektiven ignoriert, verzerrt oder geleugnet.

Die Folgen sind gravierend: Bi+ Menschen haben ein höheres Risiko für psychische Belastungen, Isolation und Diskriminierung.

Wenn Berlin die größte Gruppe der queeren Community weiterhin übergeht, ist das kein Versehen – sondern Teil des Problems. Nur 1,3 % des LSBTI-Haushalts gehen an Bi+ Projekte, obwohl Bi+ Menschen rund 60 % der Community ausmachen.

It is no coincidence that Bi+ issues are rarely addressed or promoted in politics, research, and the community. It is the result of structures that ignore Bi+ realities.

Bi+ invisibility is not an individual problem, but a structural one:
in history, science, politics, media, and society, Bi+ perspectives are ignored, distorted, or denied.

The consequences are serious: Bi+ people are at higher risk of mental health issues, isolation, and discrimination.

When Berlin continues to overlook the largest group in the queer community, it is not an accident—it is part of the problem. Only 1.3% of the LGBTI budget goes to Bi+ projects, even though Bi+ people make up around 60% of the community.

Wenn Berlin Regenbogenhauptstadt sein will, dann auch für Bi+ Menschen. Die Fachstelle Bi+ ist die erste und einzige spezialisierte Anlaufstelle für Bi+ Personen und ihre Angehörigen – in Berlin und deutschlandweit.

Doch aktuell steht ihre Zukunft auf dem Spiel:
Nur 1,3 % des LSBTI-Haushalts sind für Bi+ Arbeit vorgesehen – für rund 800.000 Bi+ Menschen in dieser Stadt. Das ist nicht gerecht.
Mit dem geplanten Budget ließe sich nur noch eine Vollzeitstelle finanzieren, dabei wächst die Nachfrage stetig.

The Bi+ Competence Center is the first and only specialized contact point for Bi+ people and their relatives — in Berlin and across Germany.

But its future is at risk:
Only 1.3 % of the LGBTI budget is allocated to Bi+ work — for around 800,000 Bi+ people in this city. That’s not fair.

Bi+ Menschen sind Teil der queeren Community – aber oft nur ein Nebensatz in der Wahrnehmung. Und genau das passiert aktuell auch politisch, denn die Fachstelle Bi+ ist in Gefahr.

Die einzige Anlaufstelle für bisexuelle, panromantische und andere bi+ Menschen in Berlin steht ab 2026 vor dem Aus – nicht wegen Kürzungen, sondern weil der Grundbedarf im neuen Doppelhaushalt zu niedrig angesetzt wurde. Damit könnte nur noch eine Vollzeitstelle finanziert werden, obwohl die Nachfrage stetig wächst.

Bi+ Personen machen rund 60 % der queeren Community aus und sind zugleich die am wenigsten sichtbare Gruppe. Die Fachstelle Bi+ von BiBerlin e.V. bietet Beratung, Empowerment und Bildungsarbeit und ist damit zentral für eine gerechte queere Infrastruktur in der Hauptstadt. BiBerlin e.V. fordert, die bisherige Fördersumme fortzuschreiben.

The only contact point for bisexual, panromantic, and other bi+ people in Berlin is facing a crisis in 2026—not because of budget cuts, but because the basic funding in the new double budget was set too low. This would only allow for one full-time position to be funded, even though demand is constantly growing.

Bi+ people make up around 60% of the queer community and are also the least visible group. The Bi+ center run by BiBerlin e.V. offers counseling, empowerment, and educational work, making it central to a fair queer infrastructure in the capital. Toutes les femmes qui aiment les femmes ne sont pas forcément lesbiennes, tout comme les hommes qui aiment les hommes ne sont pas forcément gay.

Arrêtez d'effacer les bi/pansexuels. J'ai une amie bi, si elle est en couple avec une femme on lui dit qu'elle est lesbienne, si elle est en couple avec un homme on lui dit qu'elle est hétéro finalement. Ça suffit. J'en ai ma claque de l'effacement des bi/pan.
