Greyhound MomOne year ago today, my son suffered an aortic dissection and stroke. Surgery was successful, but then he developed a reaction to heparin that filled his lungs with clots and nearly killed him. He was on ECMO and dialysis, and placed in a coma.
Today, we celebrate his recovery which is not fully complete, but considering the alternative is fully a miracle.
