One of the challenges for finding or making metaphysically agnostic moralism in the #BibleBelt is that everyone assumes "being good people" means following conservative Christians' interpretation of the Bible. They care more about going to church, being straight & married, and voting Republican than about actually serving other human beings or actually loving any neighbor who is unlike them. I've never witnessed a more hateful and tribalistic society than the US Bible Belt.

@elziax @Trouw Herkenbaar. Ik heb meer last van de kerkgangers op zondag rondom Lunteren, Woudenberg, Waardenburg, Spakenburg, Voorschoten die op de straat lopen en zeer bewust niet opzij gaan en je enorm hinderen op de openbare weg omdat zij vinden dat je op zondag niet mag sporten. #biblebelt

Laken Snelling, a college student in #LexingtonKY is originally from #WhiteTown #Tennessee and was charged with the abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence,and concealing birth of an infant, and has since been released from custody.

This incident took place in state with one of nation's strictest abortion prohibition laws on the books since July 2022.
