April was quite a month. 32 plays, 17 games, 10 new to me, and somehow it still felt like there wasn't enough time!

Finally joining a local group, Legião dos Jogos, changed everything. Last Will and Escape hit the table in ways they never could solo.

On the solo side, Era of Kingdoms surprised me completely and Onirim reminded me why I keep coming back.

April was great gaming month.

We finally played Bomb Buster correctly (doh!). Back to the first box
We finished Ticket to Ride Legacy, and loved every minute of it
LOTR Duel is intense.
The Ruins of Arnak campaign is awesome!
Kingdom Legacy is just catnip for human.
And I am getting the hang of Tamashii.

Can’t wait to see what May will bring!

My #BoardGames plays for April were pretty varied. ISS Vanguard comes in at the top. I played the tutorial by myself when my partner bought it in 2022, then we played the tutorial together again in 2024. We finally jumped into the campaign in 2026, and arsed up a few things because we didn’t redo the tutorial. We’ve sorted it out and explored a few planets but I’m not sure how much further we’ll get into the campaign.

Unstoppable is another of his solo games but me & the offspring stole it to play cooperatively when they were home at Easter. It’s a boss battler with a very nice card building mechanic (same designer as Mystic Vale but different kind of building here).

Rest of the games were competitive at various board game groups, all good, nothing really outstanding. Oh, except the LOTR trick taking game that was coop and I liked it better than most trick takers as a result. It made a good shared puzzle.
