Story Highlights

On December 25, 2025, veteran Nigerian singer Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia used a stage performance in Benin City to humorously address infidelity rumours. Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, set a lighthearted tone during a recent performance in Benin City as he addressed rumours surrounding his personal life with humour and candour.

On December 25, 2025, the music icon told the cheering crowd that he had been making the same “confession” at his shows to set the record straight regarding the constant speculation about his private affairs.

In a chant that drew laughter and applause from the audience, 2Baba jokingly declared, “I don stop to dey give am, I don stop to dey give belle anyhow, I don stop to dey give. I don stop,” insisting that he was innocent of the allegations often linked to him.

This playful declaration comes amidst a period of intense public scrutiny for the singer, as the Idibia family petition police allege Natasha assaults 2Baba over marriage and other domestic controversies have dominated headlines.

The singer explained that he felt it was important to speak directly to the Benin audience because the city is now home to his in-laws, adding that he wanted to clarify issues before they escalated further.

Referring to the public attention around his marriage to actress Annie Idibia, 2Baba noted that both of them had already provided enough material for public discussion over the past two years and saw no reason for further speculation.

He encouraged fans to move forward and focus on their personal and professional lives, echoing similar sentiments from earlier this month when 2Baba asks fans to forgive him and family following a series of social media outbursts.

“So make we dey enjoy ourselves dey go. Everybody is back to work, back to business, back to doing what you know how to do best,” he said. The legendary crooner concluded his set by thanking fans for their undying support and calling for love and unity as the event continued into the night.
