“Marvin and the Last Cup of Tea”

Marvin watched the steam curl gently from his cup.

“Everything looks fine,” he said.

The room was warm. The table was set.
Nothing seemed out of place.

He tilted his head slightly.

“Funny thing,” he added, “how endings rarely announce themselves.”

He took a sip.

“They start quietly… while everyone’s still sitting together.”

Marvin paused, glancing at the door.

Then back at his tea.

“Best pay attention,” he murmured.

“Beginnings and endings… they often share the same table.”

I did like the headline, but the article makes for an interesting read as well, even if as a short piece it ignores much of the role the BBC plays as part of the British (read London) State
