This book is really great actually.

We attempted a family meeting that didn't go as hoped. But at least no big tempers flared and I managed to stay fairly mindful and focused even with sickbrain making me pretty foggy. And for the second time in recent memory I managed to feel frustration and upset, accept it, and not be reactive about it. Which is very encouraging on a personal level.

And I ended up just sitting and reading said book with the elder child and had some good discussions about feeling, accepting, and choosing not to be reactive. Which they said made a lot more sense than how I'd been trying to convey these ideas before.

"Every day is a good day."

I'd tagging these with atheism as well, primarily to indicate that I am non-theist. However, I want to acknowledge that I do understand that agnosticism is more in line with Buddhist thought.
