Only 2 kids visited in the rain. I listened toward the main road. No laughter. No delightful banter. Only an eerie silence.

Now all the chocolate is mine. Victory.

Beggar’s night is the worst—A perfectly clear Halloween forecast ruined because of US high school (and up) football dictating that Halloween not be celebrated on Halloween.

Also it would actually be night if we did not have Daylight Savings Time.

First kids through the door were already "OH DAAANG!" at the full size candy. Hells yeah!

@APBBlue Quite a few years ago now, the regional planning commission set a 'Beggars Night' to occur either on 31 October, if the day fell Monday through Thursday, or on the preceding Thursday if 31 October fell on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Not all communities follow the voluntary 'Beggars Night' date, but mine and many others do. The idea was to have children trick-or-treating along streets without having to face weekend evening traffic.
