Next month the NT is holding an election; the resulting parliament will decide on whether fracking will go ahead in the Beetaloo Basin where the world’s largest untapped fossil gas reserves exist.
Multinational fossil fuel giant Tamboran, who stands to makes obscene profits from this has been donating large sums of cash to both major parties in the NT to make sure the ‘right’ decision for them gets made.
Santos and Tamboran sponsored the first leaders debate at $1350 / table - televised by Murdoch’s Sky News. Need I say more other than it would be a ‘carbon bomb’ and Australia would not be compensated for the loss of these resources in royalties or taxes, with profits going offshore - or the damage they cause.
Tamboran think they’ve got this ‘in the bag’ but they ‘must’ stopped. The only way is to get Green representation into the parliament - who I have donated to for this cause and urge you to do the same if you possibly can

We delivered more Beetaloo postcards to Peter Khalil MP to urgently enhance the water trigger in Federal environmental laws.

Labor promised they would enhance the water trigger. The opportunity is here now with similar bills in House of Representatives and the Senate.

Tanya Plibersek needs to step up and prioritise updating water trigger ahead of all the other reforms in EPBC act.
