most of the brewery's beer names come from a slang spoken in Mokum (Amsterdam), which is heavily influenced by Yiddish, originating from the city's historic Jewish community.
'Mokum' is an affectionate nickname for Amsterdam, derived from the Hebrew word makom (מקום), meaning 'place' or 'city'.

officially it’s a top‑fermented ale that's only permitted to brew in and around cologne.
so slapping 'ganz egal' on it and sliding it into a '(almost) lager series' is actually kinda smart
- style‑wise it lives right between ale and lager anyway.

and yeah, that also means it’s totally fine that i smashed it with a classic hessian dish on the side. this Kölsch doesn’t care what postcode your plate is from.
