Today, a rival for the recently featured Commer (Hillman) Imp van. This is the Bedford HA van, introduced in 1964 and sold until 1983, a remarkable seventeen years after the Vauxhall Viva HA saloon on which it was based ended production. Popular with the Royal Mail and UK utility companies. Bedford was GM’s British commercial vehicles brand. Coincidentally, Bedford (GM) and Commer (Rootes) were both headquartered in Dunstable in Bedfordshire. (1/2)
