Paarung auf einer brennenden Lunte im See.

Zwei akrobatische Tandems sitzen hintereinander auf dem Stängel einer Seerose. Die Männchen klammern sich an den Hals und stehen fast senkrecht über den weiblichen Libellen, die mit ihrem Unterleib Eier ins Wasser ablegen. Am linken Bildrand bringt die Sonne das Blatt einer Seerose scheinbar im Wasser zum Brennen.
