#Genève🇨🇭Cornavin to #Lyon 🇫🇷 Part-Dieu on a loco-hauled train today: a nice surprise to see an #SNCF Class #BB22200 “nez cassé” electric hauling a consist of #Corail carriages. They were built in the 1970s. In my view, they are still among the most comfortable and stylish cars around on French rails.

#Nice 🇫🇷 station: an #SNCF #BB22200 electric with a night train from #Italy 🇮🇹. The #FS sleeper is positioned right behind the loco.
Photo taken exactly 25 years ago. I very well remember the date: I had just learned about the terrible Kaprun funicular disaster, watching TV in my hotel room in Nice.

A photo taken one evening at #Dijon 🇫🇷 in August 2019: an #SNCF #BB22200 dual-voltage electric and a rake of #Corail carriages forming a #TER regional train. 40 years earlier these “Nez cassé” locos and Corail cars could be seen on the country’s most prestigious #Rapide services.
