New victory for #PointMolate & open space in the Bay Area! 🎉

For decades, Richmond's Point Molate—a hidden jewel of the East Bay shoreline—has been targeted for development.

All the way back in 2013, Baykeeper led a cleanup effort to remove 96 tons of trash and debris from the area to make it safer for public access. Ever since, community groups have been fighting to preserve it.

Now the East Bay Regional Parks District has purchased over 80 acres along the shoreline to create a new regional park. This is a huge win for the Richmond community--and for everyone who loves parks & beautiful Bay views!
