My painting "Atmospheric River" was juried into the 2025 Salon at the Triton! I'll be delivering it to the Triton Museum in Santa Clara tomorrow. The jury selected 146 works from over 2300 entries so I'm pretty proud my piece got in.
The opening is May 17 2-4pm; I'll post more details soon.
Recently started a membership at makerspace in SF called Humanmade. The intent is to get back to woodworking and experimenting with the CNC but I'm also excited to have laser access again. Did some quick studies with paper over the weekend and once I got my settings dialed in I really liked the results.

As this piece was just an experiment to begin with I added some spray paint. Little too aggressive on the sanding to remove the paint from the top surface but still fun results. This one is headed to the bin but there is potential in the process.

Martin Jambon is a French painter, programmer, and scientist living in Palo Alto. Born in Orléans in 1977, he studied biology and computer science before moving to California in 2004. His art career started “accidentally” in 2022 after he turned his old kitchen table into a permanent art workstation because “it would have been a pity to throw away such a sturdy piece of furniture.” The goal of his abstract compositions is to allow unlimited personal interpretations, free of taboos. He declares “I'm the happiest man when every morning, I look at the same painting and it starts animating and telling me a new story. I want to share this with the world.”
