Si fa presto a dire jeans, ma la verità è che siamo ormai lontani dal classico pantalone in denim, il blue jeans dalla silhouette più o meno dritta. Oggi il jeans, il più trasversale dei capi, è diventato un vero campo di sperimentazione, tanto quanto gli altri elementi del guardaroba. Da capo workwear si è trasformato in un pezzo cult, effortless ma distintivo, al punto che – oggi più che mai – è protagonista di look iconici sulle passerelle. Basti pensare all’apertura della sfilata di Bottega Veneta per l’autunno-inverno 2024, con il completo in (finto) denim e canottiera, o ad alcuni dei look più virali delle ultime stagioni, che riportano il jeans al centro della costruzione del look. Le passerelle, insomma, ne hanno definitivamente elevato lo status, declinandolo nel tempo in tutte le sue possibili varianti. Per la primavera 2026, i modelli più rilevanti raccontano un ritorno calibrato al passato: riemergono i bootcut e i modelli crop & slim di ispirazione anni Novanta e Duemila, più asciutti e versatili, mentre continua senza battute d’arresto il filone oversize con wide-leg e barrel, ormai codici consolidati del contemporaneo.
Se i fit si moltiplicano, è il lavaggio a restare la vera costante. Oltre al classico blue denim, il jeans bianco si conferma un pilastro di stagione: luminoso e immediatamente sofisticato, richiama subito l’idea di primavera. Think of the opening of Bottega Veneta’s autumn-winter 2024 show with the suit in (faux) denim and tank top, or some of the most viral looks of recent seasons, which put jeans at the center of the look construction. The runways, in short, have definitively elevated its status, embodying it over time in all its possible variations. For spring 2026, the most relevant models tell a calibrated return to the past: bootcut and crop & slim models inspired by the nineties and two thousand, drier and more versatile, emerge, while the oversized trend continues unabated with wide-leg and barrel, now established codes of the contemporary.
