A friend reported the following about #fraud on their #Amazon account. Someone was buying things over Amazon using their #bankcard set up as a #payment means . They cancelled their card. The fraudulent payments continued after the card was cancelled. Bank said that Amazon creates an online payment #token #networktoken that allows payments to be made from the account irrespective of which card is active for that account. For buying/using a #DeutscheBahn #railway #discount card (#Bankcard) a customer account on #bahn.de is mandatory. What you however DON'T need (although the company is trying hard to trick you into it) is the person data leaking #DBNavigator app: Just like any digital #DB ticket you can import the Bahncard's QR code into #KDEItinerary (https://apps.kde.org/en-gb/itinerary/) or present it as a PDF or on paper. This QR code is the important part of the "Ersatzdokument" (replacement) PDF in the bahn.de account.
