@deutrino personally I think that #Monero is by far the least worst #Cryptocurrency and anyone who thinks '#ProofOfStake is less problematic than #ProofOfWork' never made ends meet working for a company that deals with #Ethereum, #Solana and that whole shitshow.

Like this shit is way more #WastefulCmputing and it's not just creating a shitload more CPU load, but literally burns through #NVMe - #SSD|s, uses a shitload of #RAM and uses a so much #Bandwith to the point that a single node can easily saturate a 10Gbit/s NIC.

Besides, any money transaction that doesn't go through #AMEX, #VISA, #MasterCard, #PayPal, … is not generating revenue for genocidal #Billionaires & #TechBros like #PeterThiel that want to literally kill everyone but their own Billionaire Caste since they believe they can just upload their minds like they have the Didact'a Composer…

Cuz "#OpenAI" has neither "legitimate interest" nor a mandate to even demand to see an ID, much less to store and process it!

This isn't like a contractual agreement or some finance where one could argue "#KYC" is warranted "to combat #fraud"...

The only thing worse I've seen is some obscure company that brokers #bandwith with a hidden #proxy feature in #apps...

Piracy will exist as long as #corporate #greed will exist.

As long as media will be #overpriced, #delisted, #pulled from shelves or get #OutOfPrint, Piracy will be inevitable.

If it was my decision #Copyright and #patents would be contingent on the #media / #technology being produced and offered for sale.

In fact I think every #claim for #losses should be tossed by any #judge whenever there was no #legal way to obtain a new copy of some content.

Espechally since we live in the #AgeOfAbundance and nowadays the cost for distributing even a #AAA #Game or #Movie is merely the cost of #Storage and #Bandwith, so at worst a whole Euro if we're talking #PayAsYouGo - #Akamai with no minimums to get stuff distributed.

We'd be in the single digit cents if we use #P2P technology like #BitTorrent and #IPFS to keep stuff available.

If you're stuck on #EDGEland #2G speeds you need @torproject as #PerformanceProxy because #MNOs amd #MVNOs in #Germany do #throttling not by negotiating a lower #bandwith or lower #PacketRate, but by just #dropping packets.

And that fucks up everything, sith data speeds beingbeffectively on-par with #Iridium!

OFC they did that to force people to pay more for overpriced data packages...

I just said "Fuck you!" and when I didn't #Browse purposefully started #BitTorrent|ing a shitload of #FLOSS and espechally #Linux distros because with forced disconnects and absurdly low speeds, even #DownloadManagers like #jDownloader didn't work amd I needed to up date my shit anyway...
