Working on some Lithophane lamps, and the high detail of the model causes #BambuStudio to freeze and crash constantly when attempting to slice it on Windows. On Linux, it just works, not even a stutter 🤷

So recent updates have completely bahookee'd #BambuStudio on my Debian system. So no more #3dprinting . Seems a number of other users are buggered by this besides me. Can't even run #orcaslicer as it needs the same file.

HeledironBloody #Bambu P1S 3d-printer hell. I don't use much it, and every time i have to fight with it to get it online. This time their own official app, #BambuStudio, just didn't recognize it.
I had to
- Disable LAN-only mode.
- Connect to it with their phone app via bluetooth.
- Update firmware.
- Download #OrcaSlicer.
- Set the printer back to LAN only and enable developer mode.
- Connect with Orca with access code, fail BUT
- Connect with manual mode, SUCCESS.
I'll never buy anything Bambu again. Last year they tried to lock out 3rd party software (with huge backlash), and now ONLY the open source 3rd party program works.
