I was today years old when I found out that the founder of the #Benchmade Knife Company was a #Filipino American. Les de Asis (1957-2020) was a Filipino and Portuguese American entrepreneur from Los Angeles who popularized the Filipino #balisong knife, which originated in Batangas, in the US. His company is now regarded as one of the top knife manufacturers in the world.

I am proud to own 3 Benchmade knives: a 190 Drop Point Hunter and matching 192 Bird & Trout, and a 100RR River & Rescue.

Pro tip: You can "stack" washers to convert a .03" washer #balisong to AKS steel washers! Just put an additional .01" washer on each side, between the handle and steel washer :)
