I baked bread today. I cut a few corners and fucked it up—though it still tasted good.

Here’s my bread from the other day where I did not cut a few corners. This was my best looking loaf yet.

Stopped in #CafeSelmarie today because I dunno if I'll be over there again before they close. They had pffefferneuse, and it reminded me that #Dinkels had my favorite of those. Anyone else got recommendations for best German baked goods? #Chicago #baketodon

My first attempt at my sister's Irish soda bread recipe in the new oven.

I don't have the right corse wholemeal flour, and the white flour is tooooo plain. BUT I do have the FlaHAvans porridge in there.

Not bad for the first try. Tastes good. I made some little soda bread muffins and with good salted Irish butter......ñom ñom.
