Photosynthe-pspspsps 🌱 for an early #caturday

Spring is coming and it's time to start putting the fertilizer in your outdoor cat pots so they grow up nice and strong for harvesting season! 🐱

This was taken with a pretty janky phone camera and I cannot save it with editing. But I came up with a title so... you're getting it! 😂
(There will be a better, (relatively), caturday tomorrow!)

at a pond, a grey heron came very close, so I tried to take a super close-up shot of its face! I thought it would be easy to get a good shot if I was close, but there was grass in the foreground, so it was much harder than I thought... the second photo was a failure because the heron opened its bill the moment I tried to refocus, so the water surface between the bill got a good focus 😂 the third photo was another failure because after I adjusted the exposure, the heron went out of frame 😂 always end up taking a ton of bad photos #nature #bird #badphoto

When I review some of my old photos, I am constantly disappointed in myself due to lack of skill in picking the right settings back then. In this instance, shutter was set to 1/20s and resulted in blurriness. It is disheartening. 🙁

This night photo failed. 🙁

I used ISO 6400, f22 and 1 sec exposure. It still overexposed and causing the highlight of St. Mary's statue to be blown out.

Last night (July 31, 2023) the moon was an interesting shade of orange, and rather large in the sky. I tried to get a picture of it, but a cell phone camera in very low light doesn't work so well.....
