Bad Governance vs Bad Noise

The concept of GOVERNANCE is not new. It is as old as Human Civilization. Simply put Governance means, the process of quality decision-making and the process by which more proficient decisions are implemented (or not implemented).

Governance can be used in several contexts such as corporate governance, international governance, national governance and local governance.

Today Government is one of the actors in governance. Other actors involved in bad governance vary depending on the level of government that is under discussion. In Our Country INDIA the other actors who influence the Government are land lords, associations of peasant farmers, cooperatives, NGOs, research institutes, religious leaders, finance institutions political parties, the military and so on. The situation in Smart Cities is much more complex.

The interconnections between actors involved in urban governance, and at our national level, in addition to the above actors, media, lobbyists, international donors, multi-national corporations, companies, funding agencies etc. may play a major role in decision making or in influencing the decision-making process.

Let us Prioritize GOOD GOVERNANCE.

But is this really a new phenomenon?

Or is it just an illusion created by previous Governments?

Can it be a reality?

Is ours, in fact, the first generation in history concerned about such issues?

Good governance has 8 major characteristics. It is participatory, consensus oriented, accountable, transparent, responsive, effective and efficient, equitable and inclusive and follows the rule of law. It assures that corruption is minimized, the views of minorities are taken into account and that the voices of the most vulnerable in society are heard in decision-making. It is also responsive to the present and future needs of society.

But to our Surprise, It’s Sad to see that today all the 8 Major Characteristics are absent in the Present Governance of INDIA as a Nation. Many Rule of Laws have been Altered and Modified, Since 10 Years the Governance was only emphatic and partisan towards Self Extolment and Bitter Resentment towards the previous Governance.

Today its 2024 our Governance is stagnated by enviousness, imperiousness, immorality, deviousness, detachments and Uncaring Attitude reaching the Threshold of PAIN.

As Civilized Humans today, Let us ensure sustainable human development and stern initiatives and actions are taken to work towards this ideal with the aim of making it a reality.

Let’s Vote for MORALITY.

Today, Equity, Justice, Transparency and accountability are the new buzz words for 2024 corporate governance. No doubt all upright, honourable people welcome every genuine effort to stop corruption and dishonesty in whatever sphere of society, corporate, governmental or personal.
