I think my reflexive revulsion of anything even slightly hinting at new age is owed largely to all the people who knew I enjoyed electronic music and unintentionally gave me horrible albums by Yanni, Ray Lynch, Mannheim Steamroller, Suzanne Ciani (from her shlock era), and other schloosh where the primary ingredient was corn syrup. Alas, my gag reflex got so sensitized, I missed out on some genuinely good stuff because HLURGHF.
