I love #movies. I love #scifi. I love scifi movies.

I like hard scifi, but I'm aware of the compromises that must be made when bringing technical material to a broad audience on the big screen. I can make allowances for that. So I don't have a problem suspending my disbelief when a technical or scientific clunker is required by #story mechanics.

But suspension of disbelief only goes so far. If @pzmyers is right about "Project Hail Mary" (2026), I strongly suspect I'm not going to enjoy it. So I'll wait for it to come out for home viewing, I think. Easier to "walk out" when it's just pressing the "stop" button and you didn't fork out $40 for tickets and a bucket of #popcorn.

Tonight's #BadMovie was 1966's War Between the Planets. Made in Italy, it's definitely one of the lesser (very lesser) Italian sci-fi #movies to come out in the '60s. My fave part was when the cast swam from their rockets through space to the space station instead of docking their ships like you would expect. Especially fun to watch when they did the same thing to visit the planet that was destroying Earth through "gravitational forces." Hilarious yet very tedious.

Today I discovered that there is a 1980s Greydon Clark movie, starring Joe Don Baker [1], which has not been riffed by RiffTrax (or MST3K, or Cinematic Titanic), and I'm frankly shocked.

If it's not one of the four new episodes of MST3K the RiffTrax guys are doing, I'm going to be some disappointed.

[1] The same #cinematic pairing that resulted in Final Justice (1985), A.K.A. "Mitchell Goes to Malta", some of the finest #cheese ever #riffed.
