A lesson on less is more. Went with the shade that felt more natural to my style, sparse highlights, and binned the transfers which somehow were more hassle than freehand.

Reflections going forward. - Going to pull back from this shade of yellow, I’ve a really nice shade of Averland Sunset that’s under this as a basecoat and I should just highlight it, think it’ll suit my style more. - chest straps staying yellow, I’m winding myself up with these. - More work required on the checkers. But that half the challenge. 😅
Moving forward like a futile March at a gun line. Obviously my happy place that. I’ve extra coats of yellow on all the marines, a wash of Agrax on them, and have been slowly getting through layers of white on the shoulder pads. And I’ve got that extra Knight done! Look at that for some productivity.

YELLow. Slowly getting there with an approach. Which just seems to be multiple thin layers and a wash at one stage in the middle. Checkers are getting slightly better too.

And as previously mentioned, up next are the Lamenters, the saddest chapter of the Badab War. Not really traitors, barely secessionists. The Astral Claws were nice to them once and everything went downhill from there.
Painted these with the pink>zenithal white>yellow technique and now I really want to paint more yellow. Freehanding the chapter symbol though was the most nerve wracking thing I've done in a long time though. Came out pretty good though if I don't say so myself.

Back from the USA and working on a Carcharodon kill team for a Badab War event. All rescue models from the Box of Old Shit I couldn't bring myself to throw out, with the terminators converted to look more like the old FW named character. All the new studs are nail art hemispheres.
Probably about two thirds done, except for basing which I still need to think about (suggestions in a reply please!)
