It's easier for consumers to use contactless, imo, and, there's often a surcharge for using an app.

Myself and people I know have paid for parking in good faith only to be fined by another company covering the space. Councils and parking companies don't care, they just charge more if you delay payment to query the fine when, really, they should improve their signs.
