Heh. I sent the wife the following message:

"Sure, as long as you we get out of Our Pi^H^H^H^H^H bed earlier enough".

To which her response, was, "what do all those ^H^H signs mean".

Then it stuck me -- I'd been taking the `stty` stuff for granted, and have presumably been on IRC so long that's its second nature. You might well question why/how it's permeated everyday speech with the Missus.... that's a separate conversation... ;)

Still... it's amusing -- and even having explained it to her... I wish I had not. :) :)

I’m not exactly sure how they managed it but Apple have somehow disabled my backspace key in text fields when adding an event in the web version of Calendar on icloud.com using Firefox on Fedora Silverblue.

Of course, I could just be typing it wrong…

(Delete still works so I guess there’s still a workaround.)
