#PhotoOfTheDay I love the colors on the old First National Bank of Oakdale building, built in 1909. Oakdale, California.

Went a different direction from my normal maintenance ride routs - stumbled on some more old ghosts. This house just gave off a creepy vibe from the moment I laid eyes on it. When I rolled up in front of it, I got an overwhelming feeling to not come any closer.... so I didn't.

I made a new #youtube channel for videos I take during my #motorcycle rides. Please check it out and subscribe. My first video is live now.

Moto vlogging from Sonoma County. Specs: Bike Model : Honda 2024 NC750XD Style : Adventure bike Engine CC : 745cc Camera : DJI Action Camera Camera : Insta 360 V3 (I don't use this one much) Comms : Cardo 4 something something (cant remember) GPS : Some cheap one off amazon, if you are really interested reach out and I will look it up. About Me: I am a laid back guy who rode a lot in the 90s/2000, and then in about 2008 I sold my bike and took a break, got married had kids etc.. Now that my kids are older I got the urge to get a bike again. I started out on a 1984 Honda CM400E, this was a fun bike to learn on, but eventually I upgraded to a 1997 Suzuki Marauder SZ800, I loved that bike and modded the heck out of it. But eventually I got the urge to try a sporty bike and purchased a 2003 Suzuki Bandit 1200s. After owning that for about a year is when I decided to take a break. Now I am back and really enjoying cruising the Nor cal redwoods.
#PhotoOfTheDay is a GoPro capture from up on the roof rack of my Land Cruiser while exploring another rural backroad on the Oregon coast. The river on the right is the Siletz, IIRC.

At one of many free #wilderness #RecreationalSites on the #AliceLakeLoop #backroads route.
I prefer backroads sites to staffed, groomed camping sites. There's loads of awesome recreational spots all over #VancouverIsland. The more isolated spots are on the East Coast & North Island. South Island spots are nice too but they get far too busy for me to enjoy in warmer months. Many spots in North Island are still fairly empty, even in mid-Summer.

I found countless amounts of #rusted #iron pieces scattered all through the forest & there was lots on the beach below too. I thought it was bark at first but when I picked some up - found out it's iron & not from trees.
We were bummed to see this frozen #BlackTar pool, it was the largest one - amongst many smaller #TarPools & #tar puddles. You could smell the yucky #toxic scent before seeing them.
