Anybody here got experience running older #BYD Battery-Box 2.5 battery with a new #Deye (12kWh) inverter?

BMU comms to inverter is apparently not 100%. Results in battery shutting down when mains fail (ironic,yes?).

Installer got the battery working(?) in some wonky seeming setup, that they swear is "fine" - bypassing the BMU basically.
I... have some doubts.

installer swears BMU needs a firmware upgrade. But BYD tells them BYD must come out and do it, installer can't. Which I KNOW is 100 horseshit, cause me and previous installer updated firmware of battery BMSes back in 2021.

That said, I also know BYD are dipshits about this - they do not offer firmware/tools downloads for these products.

So - looking for any advice/experience with such a weird-ish setup.
