You are invited to our panel discussion on United Against Subcontracting

Workers across Berlin—from couriers at Lieferando to Vivantes hospital workers—are in the middle of a high-stakes struggle against subcontracting. Subcontracting is a particularly exploitative business practice that many industries use to squeeze more profits from workers, especially vulnerable workers like migrants.

It is a model in which businesses and corporations outsource labour to another company, often to bypass labour laws and pay workers less without accountability.

But workers and unions are pushing back, and as a result of their organizing, the German Parliament is currently debating new legislation mandating “direct employment” for certain sectors.

Diesen Satz hört man bei dem Thema dagegen oft. Aus diesem Grund laden wir zu einem Tresenabend ein, um über die Diskriminierung zu sprechen, die slawisch markierten Menschen und jenen aus den ehemaligen Sowjet-Staaten zu Teil wird.

Deutsche ohne Migrationsgeschichte aus der DDR sind nicht davon betroffen.

Euch erwarten also spannende Inputs, leckere Blini (Eierkuchen) und ein Raum in dem ihr euch austauschen könnt!

Eingeladen sind Migras mit Post-Ost-Geschichte und Friends, aber auch alle Interessierten, die gerne mehr über das Thema erfahren möchten.

Wir freuen uns auf eine nette Runde mit euch und können es kaum erwarten eure Perspektiven, aber auch Geschichten zu hören!
