Screening of Robin Campillo’s “120 Beats Per Minute” (2017), which explores an important aspect of queer struggles.
📢 In French with German subtitles. The film runs for 2 hours and 20 minutes.
‼️Trigger warning: grief, illness, blood
Synopsis: In the early 1990s, the AIDS epidemic was raging within the gay, lesbian, drug-using and haemophiliac communities.
Those affected organised themselves into the Act Up group, which campaigned for the rights of those affected through direct action and raised public awareness.
They stormed a pharmaceutical laboratory and splattered the walls with blood to protest against the lack of transparency.
🥗 We also offer a vegan meal at a price of your choice and affordable drinks.
💸 Fundraiser for HIV/AIDS charities in Berlin.
♿️ The café is wheelchair accessible; a ramp is available on request. The toilets are not wheelchair accessible.

👉As part of the commemoration of the 81st anniversary of the Allies’ victory over Hitler’s Germany, we aim to provide an overview of the events of the Battle of Berlin and the role played by Polish soldiers in it.
❓What happened on the Seelow Heights? What happened in Charlottenburg? When exactly did peace finally come to Berlin?
We want to explore these and other questions with you this evening.

In a system that deliberately excludes our voices and opinions, thereby silencing us, we have to rely on our own publications!
Not for profit or commercialisation, but to share our stories and narratives and to educate ourselves collectively and in an accessible way.

In einem System das gezielt unsere Stimmen und Meinungen ausschließt und uns somit silenced sind wir auf eigene Publikationen angewiesen!
Nicht für Profit und Kommerzialisierung, sondern um unsere Geschichten und Narrative weiter zu tragen und uns kollektiv & niedrigschwellig weiterzubilden.
Kommt vorbei und probiert es aus!
Materialien werden gestellt, außer ihr wollt etwas bestimmtes - dann bitte selbst mitbringen.
