Cavedale RhônesI just did an interesting experiment after threading the needle and making it back to the Bay Area from South Tahoe over highway 50 yesterday. I asked both Google Maps and Apple Maps to route me to South Lake Tahoe, and to Truckee. They both tried to send me across closed roads (80/20 to Truckee, 50 to SLT). Basically they could have sent me to my death if I wasn’t prepared for severe winter conditions, and prepared for extended stoppages in 20 degree weather . Great job guys!
