Dippy is doing well...

My #axolotl was called Lancelot and I kept her in a wide surface area, lidded fish bowl. Fed her bits of bacon. On warm sunny mornings she would swim around in circles. And then somehow as I woke up and stared, stopped in mid tank. I always believed Lancelot somehow used the external gills to 'sense' my awareness and hence went into stealth mode...
Eventually she/he got too big for the bowl and Dad returned her to the pet shop.

Speaking to BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, Evie said: “I went down to the bank and there was this thing with gills on its head. I was like: ‘That’s an axolotl.’ I was: ‘Mum, there’s an axolotl in the river.’ She went: ‘There’s not. You’re not going back in the water.’ So I went back in the water anyway, because I’d seen it. And then I caught it and brought it back

Some time ago I saw this photo of sea foam → https://turtleisland.social/@dillyd/116250102171624170
and wrote about it looking like cute screaming #axolotl. I wanted to draw how I imagined this creature.
I feel it looks similar to those small forest spirits in "Mononoke-hime".
@dillyd thanks for inspiration!
