TIL that AWS Athena treats integers in JSON as int32 rather than the de facto standard of IEEE 754 double-precision floating point (i.e. a Go float64) which covers -2^53+1 to +2^53-1. Considerably more than the 2^31-1 that Athena seems to allow. The useless arseholes.
