Ah, thought I’d kick back and watch the first ODI against Pakistan on good ol’ free-to-air TV. Nope, no chance of that—unless I feel like coughing up some cash to line Murdoch’s pockets. Cheers to Scott Morrison and the LNP for making this happen.
Remember the anti-siphoning laws? Yeah, once upon a time, they were meant to keep big sporting moments free for all Australians. But thanks to Morrison and his mates, that’s mostly gone. So now, unless you’ve got a subscription, you’re out of luck.
The “everyday Australians party” making sure Australians can’t even watch the cricket without a paywall.

So, last innings for David Warner. I'll never forgive him, Steve and other involved in DISRESPECTING the game I love the most, but David has carried that aggression & passion that one expects from an Aussie opener; excellent batsman/ fielder. Also, over the course of his career he has matured a lot, on and off the field. He has been funny with his moves on Indian songs too. :D
I wish him all the very best for whatever lies ahead. Just DON'T TAMPER THE SPIRITS.
I must say that cricket broadcasts from Australia are very unique and refreshing every summer. I don't know if it is the camera angles, UI/UX of the graphics that are broadcast on TV but it is an unparalleled experience for me and I really look forward to it every Aussie Summer, specially the test cricket as I follow white ball sporadically. And, Harsha Bhogle covering a series where India is not playing is icying on the cake.
