#AustinBeerWorks #Sputnik is a badass Russian imperial stout. #BrassTap Round Rock, Texas.
Solace for poor luck Christmas shopping. Oh well. Merry fricken ho ho ho.

Oh my gosh! I saw this #WaPo piece about a #brewery doing #CO2 recovery with #Beer and thought "Oh! It'd be funny if that were #AustinBeerworks" --
Reader: it was #AustinBeerworks.

By the way. A day or two ago, Herself and I went to #Finleys in #RoundRock, and had some highly charismatic hamburgers and #AustinBeerworks Mexican-style lager, La Verdad.
I gotta say I was about as happy as I was with a 1980 vintage OT Special, Tots and Lone Star at #DirtyMartins #Dirtys in #Austin.
No picture, but I had an #AustinBeerworks War Monger at #Finleys in #RoundRock.
It's a gold colored hazy American IPA and it seems to be some kind of big damn secret. I can't find much of anything about it.
Maybe it's only distributed the local bars that are friends of the family?
If you know any more lore about this beer, do share.
Oh, and yes, I really liked it. One of those adroit IPAs that has a lot of complexity and a hella bunch of hops, but doesn't taste like a pine tree.
That thing where you find a picture and it looks better than it did at the time? Austin Beerworks tap room by neon light on a wintery evening is kind of a mood.
