Transferring #TalkingHeads live from Chicago (Aug 28, 1978) from a lovely blue vinyl. I think we picked this up at Cheap Thrills in #Montreal a few years ago.

Shout out to how awesome it is using #AudioHijack to do this process.

Blog - how to solve an audio interference issue?

https://delta-pavonis.blogspot.com/2025/11/solving-interference-when-using-audio.html

TL;DRL I'm using the excellent #audiohijack by @RogueAmoeba to capture audio in my current #ttrpg campaign. However, the way I'm doing this is creating interference for the other players on the #Discord call. The software itself is capturing the audio perfectly as an MP3. I get the same effect if I use a different audio source.

Anyone got any ideas how to fix this?

Live recordings can be hit and miss with this treatment, but this Morphine bootleg recorded at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit that just appeared on Apple Music does particularly well 😍 https://music.apple.com/us/album/bootleg-detroit-deluxe-edition-2025-remaster-live/1820930051 #Surround #AudioHijack

Sure, you can take a break from work and go for a walk but have you ever tried building a Stereo -> 7.1.4 #Surround #AudioHijack flow to relax instead? Yeah no, me neither 🥴🎛️
I have a question about audio hijack.
If I use the sweeten-session to do processing on my USB-mic, does that processing carry over to other apps as well?
I mean, if I'm using my mic in something like teamtalk or discord, and I've got audio hijack doing EQ and compression on my mic, will that EQ and compression be heard by the people I'm voice-chatting with on discord or teamtalk?
Or do I have to send the stuff in audio hijack to somewhere else in order for it to be heard?

Weekend tinkering: build an absolutely non-THX-certified #Dolby #Atmos 7.1.4 setup with nothing but the Music app, Audio Midi Setup (AMS) and a bunch of disparate DACs, amps and speakers all handling some of the 12 channels. The relative magic here is that AMS will do the appropriate Atmos decoding which allows mapping of 5.1.2 or 7.1.4 channels to output devices of choice, grouped in an arbitrary aggregate virtual output device. Afterwards all that's left is a little latency correction with #AudioHijack and we're off! #LFG

Is there an equivalent to Rogue Amoeba's Audio Hijack for macOS, but for video?

I suppose OBS could do it, but is there something specific to the task?

Monday night, I taught the Silicon Valley Mac Users Group (SVMUG) how to use Audio Hijack, and they published the video for all to see. Enjoy!

How to Use Audio Hijack – Video for SVMUG - Podfeet Podcasts

Last night I taught the Silicon Valley Mac Users Group how to use Audio Hijack. I’m not telling you that to make you sad you missed it – they recorded the session and produced a high-quality video of the session. It’s not as structured as my ScreenCastsONLINE tutorial but I think it’s still pretty darn […]

One neat side effect is you can process the audio with filters - Audio Hijack comes with lots, including an adaptive Denoise which works pretty well. Another cool tool in Audio Hijack is a Transcribe filter that uses Whisper to push what you receive on the radio to a text file. The accuracy is … okay, considering it probably doesn’t know about Ham radio lingo. Anyway, there is a lot here to experiment with. #HamRadio #Mac #AudioHijack
