Well guess what, the package actually showed up today! Replaced an #Astrometa tuner with a #Hauppauge WinTV Dual.
Night and day difference! Same exact cable, no signal errors, no skips, and thanks to two tuners can watch two channels on two different frequencies at once.
All on a Raspberry Pi, stock Ubuntu 22.04.x kernel (needed the firmware package from their PPA however).
Don't know why I thought giving #Astrometa USB TV tuners another try was a good idea. Problematic 10 years ago, problematic now, even in newer revisions.
Feels like it doesn't amplify enough (if at all)? Real TV shows 100% signal strength and quality with zero hiccups, while Astrometa is all over the place. This is on cable (#DVB_C), with decent cabling, I would expect the signal to be stable.
Looking at #Hauppauge now, their dual-tuner model looks tempting…
用 Astrometa DVB-T2 聽 FM 廣播
算是接續「用 Astrometa DVB-T2 收數位無線電視台 (DVB-T)」這篇的內容，上篇有提到在台灣可以收 DVB-T 的數位電視內容，另外也有提到裡面的 RTL2832U 可以收 FM 廣播。
RTL2832U 在 Linux 下面的 FM 介面不是 /dev/radio0 這種 Radio Interface，而是透過 SDR 的方式，會產生出 /dev/swradio0 操作。
所以可以用 rtl_fm 這個工具從 SDR source 轉成 PulseAudio 吃的格式，像
