🌍 Is there a "second Earth" out there? This question is at the heart of a feasibility study involving Stefan Kimeswenger from the University of Innsbruck. Hi #astrodons! Where do you store large data sets so they’re publicly available for download?

I want to make my simulation data publicly available, so others don’t have to re-run them (at a cost of £38k).

But I have ~80TB of data… and little money for long-term storage 😬

@jameselkins TBH I would use twitter’s search function and look up the words discipline + mastodon + spreadsheet. For historians, there’s a big spreadsheet of #histodons. There are also lists of #litodons, #astrodons, etc
