• Retourner courir à la montagne. Je n'y étais pas allé depuis l'automne. Les percées de soleil illuminaient la neige immaculée. Et la surface était parfaitement damée ;
• Profiter du boost d'énergie apporté par la course pour régler un truc qui me stressait, transférer ma prescription dans une nouvelle pharmacie ;
• Nettoyer et préparer mon kit d'aquarelle pour une prochaine sortie.
Watercolor friends, here's how I attach my little palette from Art Toolkit (dotcom). I have two magnets, and I attach one to either side of a binder clip's arm. You technically only need one, but I like having two, it's more secure. Then you just set the palette down on there and it sticks. Works great!
On the way home I use the clip to actually hold the book onto the top of my bike rack. This lets the painting dry in the breeze as I ride home.
Walked to dinner again. I painted my kombucha and housemate’s fancy scotch. The little kit from Art Toolkit is a lot of fun and very useful. I love the lightness of it. I need the bigger palette though. Will repack.
Behold the chip of golden light (??). Not sure what was happening here, I just thought the chip looked nice in the sun.
Fort Sumter, where the first shot of the American Civil War was fired. Painting things that are very far away, on a tiny surface, with a too big brush and no glasses 😅.

Cleaning up my desk today I found this great little travel palette from Art Toolkit that I got a year or so ago. I’d really like to start using this again, so I swatched it into my current journal. I had filled it with colors I couldn’t remember the names of and I didn’t feel like digging through three big ziploc bags of paint tubes so I just did my best to remember what they were.
Forgot to post this lil watercolour I did at the cottage in England in June. The garden is so wild and lovely 🥰💎🎨.
