It's so curious, seeing artists on social media complain about stagnant growth and low likes, yet every one of thier pictures and videos has comments and likes in double figures.
I'm sitting over here after years of art, with one or two.

Thing is, I'm not that bothered by low likes. But I'd love to get a single commission or original artwork sold.

Socials be setting bad expectations dude.

I'd like to ask my fellow freelance artists a question. Have you ever had a commission where you simply could not find the joy in doing it, and working on it is just such a drag that you wonder if you will ever finish it? How do you cope with when faced with such an obstacle? I've been strugling quite a lot with one lately and I can't put my finger on why it is so emotionally difficult.

I hate how frustrating it is when the pose did in a minute or something capture the gesture great, but then you have to actually do the work and anatomy is there, with a huge baseball bat, ready to break you in the same way you did with it. Payback ._.

I want to start doing pinup style soft nsfws, but it feels so weird to me to try to draw characters naked or sexualized unless they're already made for that sort of material, if that makes any sense?

I really enjoy seeing that kind of art myself, but getting over the treshold to actually draw it is incredibly difficult.

Maybe easier if I just design my own OCs for it, or if I add humor or something else to it..?
