Training for #ArtCurators.

This fall, Nova #ArtsHub will be hosting a special training for curators, art organizers, etc, designed to support non-indigenous community members in developing curatorial skills grounded in equity and #Indigenous methodology. This is done in collaboration with different #IndigenousArtists around the city, after being asked by local Indigenous #artists to take on this work.

ArtsHub’s esteemed Performing Arts Editor is recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours List for his services to the arts and the Victorian community.

Congratulations to Richard Watts for receiving a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in recognition of his work in the creative arts in Victoria.

Off the top of my head, Richard Watts has worked for years at ArtsHub as Editor, manages La Mama Theatre, worked on the board of Melbourne Fringe, founded the Emerging Writers' Festival, and for many years I've enjoyed tuning-in weekly to hear him host "SmartArts" on RRR FM community radio.

" Michael Tamblyn, Rakuten Kobo’s CEO, said at 2022 Frankfurt Book Fair, ‘One in four books we sell in English is a self-published title, which means that effectively, for us, self-publishing is like having a whole other Penguin Random House sitting out in the market that no one sees. It’s like the dark matter of publishing.’ "

As quoted in Amra Pajalic's article for ArtsHub 'Three bestselling Australian authors you may never have heard of'.

Will anyone really care if CPA is subsumed? http://ozphilanthropy.com/2022/10/28/the-budget-and-creative-partnerships-australia/. Thanks to Jo Caust for her critique in #TheConversationAU and #artshub.
