Today, it's more a question of structuring, of holding everything together so that the painting can be displayed in any direction. That's something I really like about this Silencieux series. Everything could still change, because now that I've started this canvas, a different desire is beginning to emerge.

Large, monumental rocks don't move or destroy easily.

But water -- relentless, persistent, implacable water -- breaks down, over time, the most unyielding rock.

Such power in such an ubiquitous substance. As well as an encouragement, to all of us, to be relentless, persistent, and implacable ourselves.

Everything is covered except for the red parts, which will probably remain until the end. My mood is changing; perhaps the music I'm listening to is affecting me a little too much. The light outside is still the same, so there's great stability on that front.
