He's checking my contribution to the ongoing collaborative project called "Improving the Sofa Cover, Deconstructed Materialism through Applied Incisors and Darning, a Post Colonial Curation ".

I use a needle and red thread, and the rats choose a more primal, direct approach, using their teeth to comment on the interlaced nature of time, atrophy and entropy, opening liminal spaces in the literal "weave" of the material on both abstract and figurative levels.

This one means a lot. It’s also very large & my companion at meals, so I can share many details of its looks & many bits of its story. I dislike influencing viewers via titles. It was going to a show, needed a name. I called it Painting F. I liked letters over numbers. Someone whose name begins with F was with me as I finished it. We didn’t keep in touch—my interest in this man wasn’t chaste & he’s straight! 🙃

I now call this Painting Friend.
