Tre turisti statunitensi, due uomini e una donna, sono stati fermati e sanzionati nei giorni immediatamente successivi alla chiusura delle Olimpiadi invernali di Milano-Cortina 2026, proprio mentre sciavano completamente ubriachi sulle piste che fino a pochi giorni fa sono state teatro delle gare dei Giochi. La donna presentava un tasso alcolemico di 3,7 grammi per litro di sangue, ben oltre il limite consentito di 0,5. La notizia è riportata dal Corriere del Veneto, che sottolinea l’aumento dei controlli a pochi giorni dalla cerimonia di apertura delle Paralimpiadi, in programma il prossimo 6 marzo.
I tre americani sono stati intercettati sulle piste dalle forze dell’ordine, che hanno accertato alcune violazioni: sciavano senza casco e senza la copertura assicurativa obbligatoria. Per queste infrazioni è prevista una sanzione compresa tra 100 e 150 euro. Accompagnati a valle, in località Socrepes, sono stati sottoposti all’alcoltest con il supporto di una pattuglia della polizia stradale. L’esito ha portato a contestare a uno dei due uomini e alla donna anche la violazione dell’articolo 31, che disciplina appunto lo stato di ebbrezza sulle piste da sci. In questi casi la multa varia da 250 a 1.000 euro.
L’episodio si inserisce in un quadro di controlli intensificati durante una stagione segnata dall’effetto Olimpiadi. Tra il 5 dicembre e il 31 gennaio le forze dell’ordine hanno effettuato oltre 600 interventi sulle piste del Bellunese. Cortina registra il numero più alto, con 392 soccorsi, 21 scontri tra sciatori e 19 interventi dell’eliambulanza. Nel comprensorio di Arabba gli interventi sono stati 138, a Palafavera 28, nell’area del Falzarego 68. Sulle piste ampezzane si contano anche 26 malori, diversi dei quali hanno richiesto il trasferimento in ospedale con l’elicottero del Suem 118.

Three American tourists – two men and a woman – were stopped and fined in the days immediately following the closing of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, while skiing completely drunk on the slopes that had previously hosted the games. The woman had a blood alcohol content of 3.7 grams per liter, far exceeding the permitted limit of 0.5. The news was reported by Corriere del Veneto, which highlights the increase in checks just days before the opening ceremony of the Paralympics, scheduled for March 6th.
The three Americans were intercepted on the slopes by law enforcement, who ascertained several violations: they were skiing without helmets and without the mandatory insurance coverage.
