Title:
Where the Light Stopped
Description:
Shot this late at night. The building had this ornate iron railing running along the edge and there was one light source hitting it from below — everything behind it was just gone, completely black. I stepped back and left most of the frame empty on purpose. The railing sitting only in the bottom right corner somehow made it feel heavier than if I'd filled the frame with it. The circular patterns and scroll work are old — hand-crafted detail you just don't see on new construction anymore. All of that work, just sitting there in the dark with nobody looking at it. One light, one railing, everything else nothing. That felt like the right frame.

Sometimes all it takes is looking up to find a masterpiece. The ornate dome, symmetry and light create a scene that feels straight out of a movie. Architecture can amaze just as much as nature – just in a different way.
