this is exactly the kind of artwork i love to see, but it's sad to see the mining/extractivist point of view: "a new discovery for us," "a trove of work was uncovered," "found in upstate new york," etc.

the saddest to me was the wire works they found in the trash in philadelphia that are now "big hits". did they even try to find the artist?? i bet that person would be beyond thrilled to know that their works are selling!
