I went out in the kayak when we were staying at the lake and gathered a few lily pads and floating-leaved pondweed, returned ashore and preserved them using my flower press. I brought three home to Toronto and made a series of cyanotypes. I imagined the cyanotype blue would mimic the way these leaves look, floating on the water.

These are two 6” x 9” prints on watercolour paper.
